REFURBISHMENT OF PREMISES FOR THE CATALANA OCCIDENTE GROUP

eProjecta, in line with the expansion of its objectives for 2025, has reached an agreement with the Catalana Occidente Group for the complete refurbishment of several premises spread throughout Spain for the creation of new offices for the group. In this project, eProjecta will be leading different teams in the construction management, execution of the planimetry and the complete turnkey service projects.

GCO (Grupo Catalana Occidente) is a leading Spanish insurance company with a history dating back to 1864. It is currently the seventh largest insurance group in Spain and the second largest credit insurance operator in the world. It has more than 8,600 employees and a presence in more than 50 countries.

Throughout its history, GCO has experienced significant growth, with milestones such as the acquisition of Atradius in 2010, consolidating its position in the credit insurance market, and the purchase of Mémora in 2023, making it the leader in the funeral business in the Iberian Peninsula.

In 2024, the companies that made up the group's traditional business (Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros and Seguros Bilbao) were unified under the Occident brand, with the aim of simplifying their corporate structure and improving agility in responding to market demands.

Financially, GCO has shown strength. In the first nine months of 2024, earned premiums increased at a solid 3% year-on-year, driven by an improvement in margins and in the combined ratio of traditional business, which stood at 90.5%.

In summary, GCO has consolidated its position as a key player in the Spanish and international insurance sector, diversifying its business areas and strengthening its position in the market.
